Discover the beauty of the rich mitten knitting tradition of Estonia. We will knit mini colourwork mittens to get a taste of the techniques, varied design elements and thumb construction of these Baltic knits with a modern twist.

Skill Level: Students should be comfortable knitting in the round and reading from charts.

What do participants need to bring:

• 4mm / US 6 needles for knitting small circumference (double pointed needles or circular needles for magic loop)

• stitch markers

• DK yarn in at least two contrasting colours, approximately 20g of each colour

• waste / scrap yarn
