TEST KNITTING

Test knitting is an integral part of the pattern design process. As a test knitter, you will get access to a pattern before it has been released to provide feedback by testing the pattern. Your feedback will ensure that the directions are easy and clear to follow.

Test knitters will be required to:

  • knit the pattern to a deadline

  • provide feedback and progress updates throughout the test knitting period

  • keep track of the amount of yarn used for your project

  • share photos of your project publicly on Ravelry and Instagram so other knitters can see different versions of the pattern and for Aleks Byrd to share your projects.

We will be in touch regularly with test knitters throughout the test knitting process to check in on progress and answer questions.

Test knitters are expected to share their project online on Ravelry and Instagram, of which your handles / names on those sites will be asked for in the form below. As a selected test knitter, you will be asked to share photos of your project so that other knitters can see different sizes and colour versions of the pattern. Test knitters will be advised when and what photos you can share including all the relevant tags and hashtags.

If you are knitter with a keen eye for detail and able to knit to a deadline, please fill out the form below to be added to the test knitting mailing list.

Test knitting calls will be set out to those signed up for the mailing list with details about each test knit including the test deadline, sizing and pattern details.
