Privacy & Consent

We ask for your personal information only for a business transaction or marketing purposes, we will ask you for your consent by providing detailed information about what exactly you are signing up for such as the newsletter  and by sending you a second opt-in email to confirm your subscription. When you sign up for our newsletter, we collect the personal information you give us such as your name and email address and share it with our email provider Flodesk whose privacy policy you can read here. You can unsubscribe from these emails at any time by clicking the "unsubscribe" link in the email.

When you browse our website, we also automatically receive your computer’s internet protocol (IP) address in order to provide us with information that helps us learn about your browser and operating system.

Online Shop

Our store is hosted on Squarespace. They provide us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to present and sell our products and services to you.Your data is stored through Squarespace’s data storage, databases and the general Squarespace application. 

By agreeing to these Terms of Service, you represent that you are at least the age of majority in your state or province of residence, or that you are the age of majority in your state or province of residence and you have given us your consent to allow any of your minor dependents to use this site.
You may not use our products for any illegal or unauthorized purpose nor may you, in the use of the Service, violate any laws in your jurisdiction (including but not limited to copyright laws).

By purchasing a product or downloading a digital pattern you are agreeing to these terms and conditions, and to the copyright and licensing terms attached to these works. Each work and its contents are fully covered by copyright law, regardless of where you live or where the pattern was downloaded. In the USA and UK, Copyright and Design Rights are automatic and do not require registration.

Unless otherwise stated the copyright to all works, including books, patterns, products, photography and layout (in all formats) belongs to Aleks Byrd. This means that no part of the work, whether it be a free pattern PDF, photos, illustrations or text, any part of the product, book or pattern content, may be distributed, shared or stored (with the exemption of a personal back-up) without the permission of the copyright holder. 

When you purchase a pattern (digital or print), you are purchasing a license to use the instructions to recreate the design or parts of the design, not the rights to the instructions, photographs, layout or the design itself. In purchasing a digital pattern, you  agree to print and use the digital pattern  for your personal non-commercial use. You may not distribute or sell electronic or paper copies of this pattern.
