Tuljak sweater knitting pattern (English)

£6.00

Tuljak is a fast paced folk dance where the women’s national costume skirts and woven belts whirl around in unison. These belts are reimagined into a beautiful colourwork and knitted braid pattern that creates a belt around the hem and cuffs of this sweater.

This yoke sweater is knit seamless from the top down beginning with a short mock turtleneck.

A pattern with colourwork and two styles of braids, Kihnu vits and twisted braid, are worked just above the hem and cuffs of the sleeves. Two strands of different CCs are held together in the colourwork and knitted braids for a marled effect.
