DAVVI

Sámi for North

This design was inspired by shapes found in traditional Sámi clothing, woven belts in particular, as well as the natural chevron shape of trees in the forest and the peaks of mountains. It features a combination of twisted stitches and colourwork knitting to create a quilted effect. These fingerless mitts coordinate with the Davvi Hat for a nice matching set.

Pattern also available in issue 7 of Laine Magazine.
