Tackle the scary steek and open a whole new world of possibilities with your knitting! Steeking allows you to cut open knitwear knit in the round to make openings for cardigans, armholes and more. This makes knitting a colourwork cardigan or sweater much easier to knit in the round than flat. Together we will explore two different styles of steek edges from the fun of a knotted fringe steek great for a shawl and the all round great reinforcement method with crochet perfect for the Saar vest and cardigans.

US 8 / 5mm needles for knitting small circumference (Double pointed needles or circular needles for magic loop)

Worsted weight yarn in 3 contrastingcolours in the following approx. amounts:
MC (main colour used in homework swatch) 20g
CC1 (contrast colour 1 used in homework swatch) 20g
CC2 (contrast colour 2 used for crochet reinforcement) 5g
