Estonian Roosimine Knitting Tutorial
Roosimine is an Estonian inlay knitting technique that creates the appearance of embroidery with intentional contrasting color floats. It is a cross between stranded colourwork and intarsia knitting that is much easier than it looks.
You can try out this technique with multiple colours in the following patterns available on Ravelry and www.aleks-byrd.com:
- Elupuu hat
- Seli Sweater
- Seli Cardigan
- Kallike cowl
- Halliste shawl
-Hilja mitts / wrist warmers
- Roosi Gnome
