Why Aleks?
Aleks teaches workshops to demystify the deceptively easy techniques used in her patterns all over the world in the UK, Europe, Canada, the United States and Australia. Most notably with sold out workshops at Vogue Knitting Live in New York. She especially loves sharing traditional knitting techniques from Estonia with knitters around the world to expand their view on what knitting can be. She works with yarn shops and knitting event organizers to bring engaging workshops to your knitting community.
Variety of techniques
Aleks teaches workshops around the world on a wide variety of knitting techniques mostly focused on Estonian knitting. Each workshop is meticulously planned with detailed handouts created for students with links to additional tutorial videos. A variety of sample knitwear both traditional Estonian knits as well as a curated selection from Aleks’ design portfolio are brought to the workshops for inspiration.

In each workshop, students will receive a detailed handout on the technique(s) covered along with links to additional tutorial videos
A curated collection of knitwear both traditional Estonian knits as well as designs from Aleks Byrd’s design collection will be brought for inspiration to students. Every knitter will have a chance to get up close with the samples and try them on for size.
