KALLIKE
Kallike is the Estonian word for darling
Inspired by the beautiful traditional Roosimine inlay knitting motifs from Tõstamaa, Estonia, this cowl roosimine knitting pattern called Kallike uses the Roosimine inlay knitting technique to create a modern geometric pattern. It’s a snuggly cowl with a lining knit in a soft yarn like Alpaca or even Suri Alpaca for extra snuggly warmth. This is the perfect knitting pattern project to use up any leftover DK yarn for the Roosimine as it doesn’t need much.

This cowl is a seamless cowl with a knit lining.
The cowl is started with a provisional cast on that will be used for grafting to the final rnd of the cowl’s lining.
The cowl is knit beginning with the exterior which features 1x1 ribbing and an inlay technique called Roosimine before knitting the interior lining. The 1x1 ribbing is folded over and attached to the inside to give a nice folded hem.
Skill level: advanced beginner; comfortable knitting with multiple colours in the round.
